Product Development
Products developed.
AKF/AGF Industrie B.V. performs services in Product Development, exclusively in thermoplastics (injection moulding).
Explicitly AKF/AGF Industrie B.V. does not operate in the filed of Industrial Designing. That implies that at least there should be a basic idea and/or -design on which further development should be based. As such the company does not focus on fundamental, industrial, design but more on the realisation and optimalization (referred to as to make the idea optimal, ‘injection mouldable‘, manufacturable) of an idea, design or product in thermoplastics. As such the company usually connects to a first stage of industrial design.
AKF/AGF Industrie B.V. focuses on 3 subareas in the development phase :
* Construction of a technical product of which the end customer is able to define the final purpose and function.
* Construction of a technological feasable, in this case injection mouldable, product.
* Construction of an economically most optimal feasable, in this case injection mouldable, product.
As such AKF/AGF Industrie B.V. uses state of the art 3D design software (a.o. SolidWorks and Pro/Engineer). With these ideas can be realised and visualized for the end customer. During the development phase a product is shaped in such a way that a technological and economical (design-for-costprice) most preferable design is made. During that phase a close cooperation with the end customer is pursued and if required the end customer is supported to a less or larger extend. Depending on the level of the end customer more or less support is provided.
Once the Product Development phase is completed the purpose is to have generated an enddesign, on paper or digitally or even as (Rapid) Prototype which serves :
* Functionality requirements by the end customer.
* Esthetical requirements by the end customer.
* Most optimal technological feasability by injection moulding (minimal technological and esthetical risks).
* The best feasable price setting, both regarding the non-recurrent investments in tooling as well as regarding the recurrent costs of the individual products.
